It’s Weird Science this Third Friday

SALISBURY, Md. — Third Friday is here and it’s brewing up weird science.

There is so much spooktacular fun here! There’s some slime making, science trivia, and they’re even extracting DNA…well, fruit DNA. There were so many families joining in on the science experiments.

Some people donned costumes, and a particularly special one was a lobster. Others joined in on the fun walking through the vendors and enjoying the live music and special dances.

WMDT’s Haley Rae joined in on one of the experiments live. She learned how to make oobleck, a fluid made from corn starch and water that temporarily thickens or solidifies when force is supplied. The Delmarva Discovery Museum, amongst other groups, partnered with the City of Salisbury to make weird science accessible for the whole family.

The event is running until 8:00 p.m. and you won’t want to miss out on all of the Halloween-themed performances that will be taking place.
