SALISBURY, Md. – The Second Annual Unity Dance is returning to Downtown Salisbury this weekend, through partnership with the Blending Cultures Society.
This year’s dance will introduce China, and is set to take place on Friday, Oct. 10, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Unity Square. This is a free, family-friendly event!
Also taking place on Friday night is the sensory-friendly trick or treating night out at the Salisbury Zoo. The Spooktacular Halloween celebration will cater to those that would do better in a smaller-scale, calmer event setting. Activities include a sensory-friendly candy trail, games and prizes.
Tickets are $10 per participating child, which are currently available for purchase online. As long as this event hasn’t sold out, tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate. Parents and children under two are provided free admission. The Zoo is partnering with the Psychology Department at Salisbury University to host this event.
On Saturday, the 24th Annual Women Supporting Women Walk for Awareness will be taking place at the Centre at Salisbury, starting at 9:30 a.m. This year’s walk will be held again inside of mall, so there’s no worry about the weather conditions outside. Participants will do two loops around the mall.
Women Supporting Women is a local organization that helps local women detect and fight breast cancer. If you’d like to participate, you can sign up online now, or at the beginning of the walk on Saturday morning at the mall. Registration is $30 per person, and five dollars for any furry friends that accompany them.
