Dover Police say their investigation showed that 39-year-old Roberto Escobar-Arcos started sexually abused the girl when she was eight-years-old. The abuse reportedly continued for the next seven years. Police say the child is now 14-years-old, and reported the abuse. Investigators say they arrested Escobar-Arcos at his workplace on Tuesday.
He was then charged with rape first degree, continuous sexual abuse of a child, sexual abuse by a person of trust, and 4 counts of unlawful sexual contact. He was later turned over to the custody of the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $140,000 secured bond.
