Colonel Richardson spoils Parkside homecoming
SALISBURY, Md. – Colonel Richardson football beat Parkside 40-29 on Thursday night in Salisbury.
Parkside struck first, earning an early 14-0 lead, but the Colonels responded with 24 unanswered points to lead 24-14 at half.
The Rams closed the gap in the third quarter with a touchdown to make it 24-21, but Colonel Richardson responded with a score and a two-point conversion to extend their lead to 11.
Both teams found the end zone with successful two-point tries in the fourth quarter, with Colonel Richardson holding on to win 40-29.
Colonel Richardson moves to 2-2 with the win, and Parkside falls to 2-2 after the loss.
Colonel will host Cambridge-SD on Friday, October 3 at 6 p.m.
Parkside will play Wi-Hi at County Stadium on Thursday, October 2 at 6 p.m.
