(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – new homes were unveiled as part of a revitalization initiative in Cambridge, in partnership with the Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce.

It’s been in the works for five years.

The goal is to help rejuvenate the area surrounding Cornish Park, which itself has seen some recent work.

The city’s Housing Project Manager told us they’ve received a lot of feedback from the neighborhood, and they’re trying to ease their concerns.

“But at least what it does is it helps us to raise the value of the properties in the community, and then we’ll make some adjustments going forward to maybe downsizing the size of the houses, also impacting cost. So they’re more affordable, more accessible…” says Cambridge Housing Program Manager, Ed Crosby.

Several other houses in the vicinity of Cornish Park have also been built by Habitat for Humanity.
