Delaware officials push for solidarity after killing of Charlie Kirk

DELAWARE. – With Wednesday events in Utah, elected officials in Delaware are calling on the state to stand together. Governor Matt Meyer expressed his condolences to Charlie Kirk’s family and followers.

He urged those in the First State to be cooperative with others’ opinions, regardless of one’s own.

“A disagreement is okay. I do not agree with a lot of people on the other side of the political aisle, but that’s okay; we need to talk, and we need to work with each other.”

State Representative Brian Shupe agreed with the governor despite their opposing parties. He echoed Meyer’s message of unity.

“The Governor and I disagree on a lot of aspects of where we want the state to go, or how we want it to get there. But there is no point in time if something happened to the Governor and his family, that it would bring me joy.”

Vice President JD Vance will fly to Arizona with Kirk’s body, his wife Erika, and other family members aboard Air Force Two.
