Del. State Police investigating armed robbery of Smyrna liquor store
SMYRNA, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a Smyrna liquor store Thursday evening.
Troopers were called to the Spruance City Liquor store on Smyrna Clayton Boulevard at around 7:15 p.m. On arrival, a male employee told police that an unknown male suspect walked into the store and pointed a handgun at the employee, demanding money. The employee gave the suspect an unknown amount of cash before the suspect fled the store.
The employee was not injured during the incident.
The suspect was described as a male, wearing dark clothing and a dark colored mask. He was armed with what appeared to be a silver and black handgun, and is believed to have fled on foot.
