UPDATE: Investigation underway following attempted robbery of Harrington gas station

 

11/19 UPDATE: Delaware State Police have released surveillance footage of the suspect wanted in connection to the attempted armed robbery of the Harrington Valero gas station last week.

Police say the suspect was seen driving away from the area in what appears to be a red/maroon sedan with Maryland registration.

HARRINGTON, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating an attempted robbery of a local gas station that happened early Tuesday morning.

According to police, the incident happened at around 5:19 a.m., at the Valero Shore Stop on S. DuPont Highway. A store manager reported that a subject walked into the store, approached the register, and demanded money. The manager told the subject that there was no money in the register, at which point the subject walked out of the store without stealing anything.

The manager was not injured in the incident, and it was reported that the subject never showed a weapon during the incident.

The suspect was described as a male, approximately 20-30 years old, wearing all dark clothing. He was seen driving away from the area in a black four door passenger vehicle. No surveillance photos are available at this time.
