Salisbury promotes a culture of kindness, one dance at a time
SALISBURY, Md. – More than a hundred people from all over the community busted a move on Sunday for the 4th Annual Dance for Kindness.
The event hosted by Wicomico Grows Kindness took place at Salisbury’s Riverwalk Amphitheater.
The ultimate goal of this event is raise awareness on spreading kindness as part of the worldwide Dance for Kindness celebration.
Community members who have shown kindness were recognized including Wicomico County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Donna Hanlin as well as local business owners.
“Everybody should participate in community unity opportunities and that is what this event is doing,” said the Salisbury Secretary of Kindness, Grace Foxwell Murdock.
“It is bringing us together because connections and relationships mean everything for a happier, healthier, longer life,” said Murdock.
People also got the chance to fill out hearts with names of people who have shown kindness within the community.
