Virginia man arrested in Frankford after loaded gun, drugs found in his vehicle, police say

FRANKFORD, Del. – A Chesapeake, Virginia man is facing felony charges after Delaware State Police say they confiscated a loaded gun and marijuana from his vehicle in Frankford.
On August 11th, around 1:24 a.m., a trooper on patrol spotted a Lincoln MKS speeding on Dupont Boulevard. The trooper pulled the vehicle over and identified the driver as Demetrius Daniels.
During that interaction, the trooper says he saw what appeared to be an extended handgun magazine hidden next to the passenger’s seat. Daniels was arrested. While searching the vehicle, police say they found a loaded handgun and ammunition, a magazine, marijuana, and a digital scale.
Daniels is being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on $66,252 secured bond.
