Dover Police looking into reported burglary at Kent Budget Motel

The Dover Police Department says they are investigating a burglary that took place Saturday morning.

According to the report, sometime before 9:45 AM, Phillip Plummer, 34, entered the back business office of the Kent Budget Motel, on 383 DuPont Highway, by forcing his way through the door. Once inside, officials say he took an undisclosed amount of cash from the office and then ran.

Security footage reportedly helped in the identification of Plummer as a resident at the motel.

The report states that Plummer was arrested without incident and released on $3,500 unsecured bond after being charged with burglary third degree, theft under $1,500, and criminal mischief.
