Sports 11pm

michelle as we’re getting into conference, we start to see the true identity of some teams, especially the good ones..two of the best bennett and pocomoke. those two teams squared off this afternoon in the clippers new complex. and what a way to break in that complex as the 6-1 warriors came to visit the 5-1-2 clippers. and things would get going in a hurry, just a couple minutes in, pocomoke with a great opportunity, advance is turned away just in the nick of time by bennett keeper jacob harrison. clippers would find their stride on offense, 16th minute off the corner from peter gutovskey, ball rolling around the box and aidan kelly would strike it thru to put his team on top. pocomoke looking for the equilzer less than 5 minutes later, gus enriquez sets it up, the deflection goes off a bennett defender and we are tied at one. late in the first, bennett trying to sneak one in, great play by the pocomoke defense to keep that one out. a conner banks goal with 90 seconds remaining would give the clippers the 2-1 win. mardela taking the 15 minute trip to salisbury to visit parkside, rams attacking, cross goes it, noah o’barsky with the shot, great punch save by warriors keeper alec bryson. 20 minutes it, they would get in, connor houtman finding grant burleson on the cross, burleson only scores from that close in, rams lead 1-0. just before the half, free kick for mardela, john savage just pushes it left. rams lead at the half. second half, rams still coming, sean fisher shoots, his attempt goes off. but they would put two more in, as the rams win 3-nil. up route 50 in hurlock, north dorchester’s girls hosting colonel… eagles down in second, kayla diggs on a breakaway just beats the keeper to it. colonel’s answer, kayla arch on the cross, maddie christopher finishes it–5 mins later, annie harris on a breakaway, adds another—loose ball in the box and cassandra brey goes top shelf for her first career varsity goal. gives em a 5-1 lead. north dorchester still fighting, one minute left and brie bates, but time would run out on the attempted comeback, colonel wins 5-2. back in salisbury parkside field hockey hosting washington, rams on the corner, sarah diller plays the ball into the box, abby roskovech cant get to it, they would be scoreless with two minutes remaining. washington would draw a corner, hannah eckard is gonna stick it. puts one in to give them the lead. as time expires, one more corner for parkside, washington’s olivia courtney gets the clear and the refs blow it dead, washington pulls out a close one 1-0. we switch gears to major league baseball now, to a stat that caught my eye. 42 teams have lost game one of a best-of-five series at home, with just 13 of them moving on. a 25% chance..those were the odds the nationals are facing in their series with the dodgers. they would be tied at one in the third, and the nats break out from there..bryce harper sending one to the gap, that’s gonna score jayson werth to give them their first lead today. next batter is anthony rendon, and he is signing out. tattoo’s this kenta maeda offering into the stands. los angeles would make it a one run game but in the 9th washington’s bats come alive. jayson werth with a towering shot, a part of a four run final inning as the nationals top the dodgers 8-3, they now lead that series 2 games to 1. you know, im hoping this is our year, you know. we’re battle tested, we’ve got a great group of guys, we’ve been playing together a long time now so i feel like this is our opportunity. that’s it for sports. good news is just ahead- keep it right here — you’re watching 47 abc! catch more of the action on our sports page at 47abc.com hairstyles brought to you by designer’s
