CWDI gearing up for 4th of July celebration on Cambridge waterfront
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Cambridge Waterfront Development Inc. (CWDI) is inviting you to celebrate the 4th of July with them and a fantastic view.
This Friday, the waterfront will be taken over by food trucks, seafood, a classic American barbecue, and of course, fireworks. All you need to bring is your appetite and maybe some lawn chairs or a blanket.
“We’re cracking and chilling in Dorchester County this summer, so we hope you’ll come and see us,” said Director of Dorchester County Tourism, Holly Gilpin.
This is the first time that CWDI is offering the festivities in a centralized location. Gilpin said it’s a chance to showcase the waterfront views that make the trip worth it.
“Our fireworks are always on the 4th of July, no matte what day it falls on. So, everybody just spreads out. Here (on the waterfront) is just more of one place that you can come and see some great fireworks. We’re hoping for a couple hundred people,” Gilpin said.
The food trucks will start serving at 5 p.m., with fireworks lifting off at 9 p.m.
