Local middle school student helps spread kindness

PITTSVILLE, Md. – A local seventh grader launched an effort at her school on Wednesday to spread kindness and make her classmates smile.

Savanna Brooks is a student at Pittsville Middle And Elementary School and she leads her school’s new kindness club, which is made up of eight kids.

On Wednesday, Brooks and her team started writing messages down on hundreds of sticky notes like you can do it, believe in yourself, and be kind.

Those sticky notes will soon be posted all around school.

“I think that anything that will make an impact on somebody’s life is definitely worthwhile in doing,” said Brooks.

We are told Brooks is also teaming up with Wicomico Grows Kindness to help spread a larger message of hope across the entire county.
