One seriously injured in Trappe crash
TRAPPE, Md. – The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that left one person seriously injured early Tuesday morning.
At around 4:30 a.m., deputies responded to a reported crash in the area of Chloras Point Road and Claylands Road in Trappe. At the scene, police reportedly found a vehicle approximately 150 yards from the roadway with significant damage, indicative of multiple rollovers.
The driver was identified as 18-year-old Ellis Newcomb of Easton. Newcomb reportedly refused treatment at the scene.
Police say a passenger was ejected from the vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries. The passenger was taken to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton before being transferred to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
