Annual Shine on the Shore fundraiser back in Worcester Co.

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – Worcester Youth and Family Services is getting fired up for its Luau fundraiser.

The Shine on the Shore Luau will return to Sunset Grill in two days, helping the organization to raise the necessary funds to continue their programs.

Program coordinator, Rachel Mitchell said it’s not just about the money, but also about educating the public on what their mission is all about.

“You do not have to be anyone special to give back. A lot of people are afraid to be a mentor, they’re afraid to come out and help the community because they think they have to be special, but a lot of these people don’t need perfect, they just need a person to show the people that we work with here,” said Mitchell.

The event will kick off at 5pm on June 12th at Sunset Grill.
