Benefit for Dallas Police Officers to be held Wednesday in Princess Anne

A local fire department is holding a benefit for Dallas police officers.

The Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Department says that they are holding a benefit this Wednesday at 5PM for the Dallas Police Department, and that 100% of the proceeds will go to the Dallas Police Department.

Officials also say that there will be a raffle and a silent auction, and everything will reportedly be a donation to run the raffle.

The benefit will be at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 135 in Somerset County.

Five police officers were killed in an ambush in downtown Dallas in July.  Dallas Police Chief David Brown said that ever since the shooting, hundreds have applied to the Dallas Police Department.
