ShoreRivers hosting tree planting event

RIDGELY, Md. – Calling all nature lovers, ShoreRivers is in need of volunteers.

The organization is hosting a tree planting event this weekend. Volunteers will get to roll up their sleeves and help plant one of 42 trees in Ridgely.

Community engagement coordinator, Maegan White said this event is geared towards anyone interested, and will help enhance the area and meet local environmental needs.

“This program is about trying to get more tree canopy up and in areas that it has a public benefit. We’re planting trees in parks and schools and neighborhoods,” said White.
