Self-guided tours held around Delmarva for Black History Month

DELMARVA. – The Beaches to Bay Heritage Area is hosting several different Black History Month events.

The organization launched its Black History Month brochure, featuring 29 different Black history locations on the shore.

They include Teackle Mansion, San Domingo School and much more. If you’re interested in learning about the shore’s rich Black history, organizers said you should download the brochure and take the self-guided tour.

“We often think of struggle and oppression, but they have such a rich history here, of success and perseverance. We like to showcase those types of activities,” said executive director, Lisa Challenger.
