H.S. Football Preview: Smyrna Eagles

The last time the Smyrna Eagles took the field, they emerged as state champions in a game for the ages. Even more incredible is the fact that after the first football title in school history, head coach Mike Judy says he has no worries of a championship hangover coming into 2016.
The talk is that the Eagles will be even more dangerous this time around. Along with incoming transfer Leddie Brown, Smyrna returns two of the best players in the state. In 2015, Delaware commit QB Nolan Henderson threw for 37 touchdowns and state offensive player of the year Will Knight ran for over 2,000 yards. In 2016, they are said to be even better.
The Eagles begin their title defense on Saturday, September 10th, when they travel to take on Delcastle.
