DelDOT announces lane closure suspensions for holiday weekend

The Delaware Department of Transportation has announced they will suspend lane closures on Delaware’s major roadways beginning at midnight September 1 and ending at midnight on September 6 for Labor Day weekend.

DART Route 305-Beach Connection operates bus service between Wilmington and Rehoboth on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, September 5, with stops at Amtrak Station in Wilmington; Christiana Mall Park & Ride; new stop in the Middletown area at Odessa Park & Ride; Scarborough Road; Park & Ride in Dover; and Rehoboth Park & Ride.  
 
Once at the Rehoboth Park & Ride, passengers can connect to DART’s Resort Transit, operating seven bus routes, seven days a week from approximately 7 AM until 2 AM.  Resort Transit routes serve Rehoboth Beach and the Boardwalk, Lewes, Long Neck, Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach, South Bethany Beach, Fenwick Island, and Ocean City, Maryland through Sunday, September 11.  

DART Route 202 will start back up for the last two weekends in September operating every 30 minutes from 10 AM until 10 PM, between Rehoboth Park & Ride, Rehoboth Boardwalk, Tanger Outlets and Midway Shopping Center. Visitors and residents in the Rehoboth area are encouraged to use the DART Park & Ride lot located off of Route 1 on Shuttle Road, just north of the entrance to Rehoboth Avenue.  Free weekend parking is available Saturday, September 17 through Sunday, September 25.
