Salisbury PFLAG hosts clothing exchange

SALISBURY, Md. – PFLAG is asking for clothing donations for members of the transgender community.
At Monday’s monthly meeting, PFLAG will be collecting new and gently used clothing items to donate to transgender individuals who need help building their wardrobe.
Executive director, Mark DeLancey said providing a safe space where people can browse and pick out clothes helps with confidence and strengthening our local community.
“It’s an opportunity for the trans community to come in and just pick through things in a comfortable setting, in which they don’t have to go to a department store and get dirty looks if they don’t want to,” DeLancey said. “They can actually come here with other trans individuals or allies and be able to go shopping for clothes.”
The clothing exchange will be held from 6:30-8pm at 2812 Old Ocean City Rd.
