The Salisbury Christmas Parade was a joy for the entire community
SALISBURY, Md. – The 78th annual Salisbury Christmas parade took place in Salisbury. Many community members came out to enjoy the fun. The parade ran through Mount Harmon, starting on Civic Avenue, and ending on Ward Street.
The Dyre family was pleased with the turnout. “I’ve lived in Salisbury for 11 years; I’ve been here for 15 years. This is our first time; it’s a nice day and worked out for us.”
The Salisbury Jaycees made sure all members had a chance to bask in holiday joy. For the Dyre Family, their first time was great.
“Coming in as a family, it’s been great, we are excited for the holidays. The girls are excited, it’s good to be in the community and support the community while we are here.”
The event brought out local officials, like the Salisbury Chief of Police, Dave Meinschein. As well as other leaders like the Salisbury City Council President D’Shawn Doughty. For Salisbury resident, Jadier Morales this was a great time to attend for the first time.
“I came from Puerto Rico, this is my first time here, but I love it; my favorite thing is the bands. I used to be in a band when I was 14 years old. I have three kids, and they love it too. ”
No matter if you brought your friends, family, or furry pal. this event was enjoyable for everyone.
