(UPDATE) Former Wicomico Co. Sheriff’s Deputy found guilty on multiple counts of rape

SALISBURY, Md. – The fate of a former Wicomico County Sheriff’s Deputy is in the hands of a jury.

32-year-old Steven Abreu is facing a slew of charges, including second degree rape and misconduct in office. He’s accused of using his position to sexually assault women while on duty in 2022.

He had been with the department for less than a year and was terminated following his arrest.

The jury began deliberating today and the verdict is now in.
