Ocean City's Dine United Competition raises $33,000 in two months for United Way

restaurants have joined a friendly competition to raise money for a local organization. the purpose of the dine united o-c competition is to have restaurants compete in order to raise money and benefit the united way of the lower eastern shore. they each come up with their own ideas to make certain specials. and from those specials they take a portion to donate. the competition covered most of the ocean city summer tourism season. it began june 15th –and in the past two months, these restaurants raised over 33-thousand dollars. an outreach communications manager from united way explains what all this money is going towards. 32.22 each restaurant is donating a dollar or two from the entrees or drink specials and that will help fund our 74 programs that fight for the education, financial stability, and health for everyone in our community. 32.32 an award ceremony will be held after the competition ends. they hope all of their efforts reach 50-thousand dollars by labor day. for any updates about these participating restaurants and their specials, head over to our website at 47 a-b-c dot com now
