Accomack Co. crash claims life of one

PAINTER, Va. – Virginia State Police are investigating a crash that claimed the life of one in Accomack County Monday evening.

We’re told at around 6:30 p.m., a 2010 Buick Lucerne crashed into the corner section of a two-story brick house in the 33000 block of Lankford Highway. The driver was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have identified the driver as 76-year-old Napoleon Coles of Melfa.

Alcohol or speed do not appear to be factors in the crash, according to police. The incident remains under investigation.
