Popular rides at the Delaware State Fair

HARRINGTON, Del. – Carnival rides are synonymous with the Delaware State Fair. So 47 ABC spent the day on Thursday testing out some rides and talking to fairgoers about their favorite ones.

“The adrenaline will really be pumping and it’s really fun,” says Myaja Bynum.

People visiting the fair can pick from roller coasters, to slides, to rides that flip upside down, swings and more.

“I like the slides the best because they are really fast,” says Carli Mazaleski.

“It felt like I was just on a regular swing or going down a mountain in a car or something,” says Hayleigh Beaver.

There’s a ride for everyone at the Delaware State Fair.

“My favorite part is going around and around and around and around and around.”

Fairgoers tell 47 ABC they like any kind of ride that they can enjoy with family.

“My favorite things about the rides is that I can ride with my family, my friends and my mom,” says Reed Charnick.

“My favorite parts are the rides and I like coming here because I usually come with my brother and we have lots of fun,” says Jaleena Ridgeway.

As good as the fair food is, fairgoers tell 47 ABC you have to be careful if you eat before you go on the rides.

“But every time I eat, sometimes, I have to wait until l get used to it so I won’t you know get sick and stuff,” says Charnick. “I like this place better than any carnival in town.”

State Fair Officials say there are almost 50 different rides at the fair. If you want to try some out for yourself, they are open every day of the fair starting at 1 p.m.
