Fair exhibit showcases auto racing history
HARRINGTON, Del. – There’s a unique auto racing history exhibit at the 2019 Delaware State Fair.
The exhibit is inside the M&T Bank Grandstand Lobby. All the pictures displayed are a Cambridge man’s personal collection with some of them dating back to the early and mid 1900’s.
Paul Davis estimates that he has about 80 different framed pictures on display and countless more digital files. He tells 47 ABC his goal is to showcase the history about the different race tracks on the Eastern Shore and Delaware. Davis says he hopes this collection brings memories back to people who stop by.
“Sometimes people do come by that like the race cars because they were born into it, going to the racing with their parents and family,” says exhibitor Paul Davis.
The Auto Racing Exhibit is open Thursday and Saturday from 1 to 7 p.m.
