Felton woman charged after violating protection from abuse order

FELTON, Del. – A Felton woman is facing a charge after police say she entered the home of a victim under a protection from abuse order.

On August 14th, Felton Police say 31-year-old La’Taija M. Maddox entered a home, violating a protective order. They say the accused was ordered to have no contact with the victim or the victim’s home.

Maddox reached out to WMDT and stated it was her own home that she entered.

Maddox turned herself in to Felton Police on August 16th. She was charged with one count of criminal contempt of a domestic violence protection order. Maddox was issued a no contact order with the victim and released on her own recognizance.
