People flock to Harrington for first day of Delaware State Fair
HARRINGTON, Del. – It’s the first day at the Delaware state fair, one of the most exciting times of the year for the First State.
Vendors set up their booths and food trucks and offered fan favorites, like Dolewhip and gator bites.
WMDT spoke with some first-timers and repeat attendees who got a taste of all of the delicious foods, and said they were pleasantly surprised with how big Delaware’s state fair is.
“First time at the fair and so far, I’m impressed with how big it is. It’s a lot of stuff going on, so I’m really excited for it,” said attendee, Melina Reilly.
“It’s good. It’s big! I never knew it was this big. I came here years ago, but I just couldn’t remember all of this,” said attendee, Leona Elzey.
