Rehoboth Beach Pride Festival Weekend

DELAWARE – A vibrant celebration of love and inclusivity is to be held in Delaware this weekend. The Rehoboth Beach Pride Festival has promised a day of unity and awareness for the community.

There will be over 50 Vendors set up at the event, and festivities will also include a photo exhibit, live performances, and giveaways. David Marriner of Sussex Pride says they wanted pride to go on all summer long, not just in the month of June. He says the four-day event will include both entertainment and education and will include health screenings and thought-provoking classes.

“We’ll be talking about domestic violence in the LGBTQ community, we will have a panel discussion featuring LGBTQ Faith Leaders in Delaware. We will have a workshop on aging in place, and how we can best support LGBTQ adults as they age, and lots of different things going on.”

The festival will also feature a raffle, all proceeds going to Safeguards Housing Committee, to benefit unhoused LGBTQ+ Youth in Delaware, and the community is encouraged to attend and learn more about LGBTQ issues.
