6th annual Red White & Boom lights up the sky

SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury’s 6th annual Red White and Boom took place at the Wicomico County Stadium, Thursday night.

Before the fireworks lit up the sky at 9:15, there were bounce houses, competitions and food vendors for everyone to enjoy. Organizers tell 47 ABC they’re excited to see how successful Red White and Boom is and how much the community enjoys it.

“It’s local. It’s here. And it went away for a while, for several years. And the Mike Dunn was gracious enough to bring it back and say ‘hey we want to bring fireworks back to Salisbury’. He brought it back. Ryan and I got involved with this and to be able to be a part of that and give back to the community in such a way like this, we definitely enjoy this,” says Brian Nelson, Co-Chair of Red White and Boom.

There were also a few fireworks lit before the main show, to honor and thank military families for their service and sacrifices.
