Dewey Beach stabbing in North Beach Resturant

Dewey Beach, DE – A stabbing investigation in Dewey Beach is ongoing after police say two people were stabbed at the restaurant at approximately 1:07 am.

A 25-year-old Millsboro man was found lying on the ground with severe facial injuries and the second victim was also found at the scene, suffering from a stab wound to the shoulder.

Both were sent to the hospital, where they are in stable condition and have been transported to Sussex County EMS.

Dewey Beach was still vibrant earlier this afternoon, but local business owner Brea Wang said that after-hours in town can be unpredictable. “We were kind of dealing with a lot of drunk people which is fine the majority of the time, you know 90, 95% of the time it’s fine but then there is that small percentage of bad things happening like North Beach last night,” said Wang.

Wang also said that they have changed their business hours to 7 a m to 2 p m to avoid late-night troubles and urges young adults to be more careful going to places during peak hours.

Dewey Beach Police is still investigating, if anyone has information to come forward and contact crime stoppers at 1- 888–tip–3333.
