Kent Co. Public Library kicks off Touch-A-Truck event

KENT COUNTY, Del. – The Kent County Public Library is gearing up for a summer of child learning.

Every Wednesday, the library will host the Touch-A-Truck event, where families can come, and kids can tour different types of work vehicles, from tractors to police cars.

Library tech, Phoenix Cote, said this event gives youth an opportunity to become familiarized with different types of cars, and might even expose them to a potential career.

“Kids come out, we have different vehicles, everything from tractor trailers to state troopers to construction vehicles. The kids get to go and explore them and play with all the buttons, blow the horn [and] hit the siren,” Cote said.

The event will be held every Wednesday at 10AM.
