Dover man sentenced for May 2015 Walker Woods murder

Damier Harmon, 20, of Dover, Del.

The Delaware Department of Justice says a 20-year-old Dover man convicted of murder has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Damier Harmon pleaded guilty last November for his role in the May 2015 shooting death of 19-year-old Gary Adams at the Walker Woods apartments in Dover. Harmon and co-defendant Bruce Manlove tried to rob Adams during a drug deal. With the three in a struggle, Harmon shot Adams in the chest.

Harmon was convicted of second degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Manlove was sentenced in January to 15 years in prison on his conviction of first degree robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The sentence in Superior Court was secured by Deputy Attorneys General Steve Welch and Ben Snyder, Delaware Department of Justice officials said.
