Two organizations come together to highlight local artists

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Art Space partnered with PFLAG to bring to life some art pieces that showcase the LGBTQ experience.

Executive director of Salisbury PFLAG, Mark DeLancey, said that these collaborations are important in showing inclusivity, and highlighting local artists is what helps encourage others to dig deep to find their creative sides as well.

“Not only do LGBTQ people exist in your workplaces, but we can work together. We can all be a part of a family and a larger group of individuals,” DeLancey said. “We want to make sure that everyone feels equal we want to make sure that everyone feels included and what better way to do than to create collaborations with other businesses?”

DeLancey added the art exhibit goes hand-in-hand with the upcoming Pride Parade, happening next weekend.
