SNOW HILL, Md. – A Worcester County teenager could be facing charges, after police say they assaulted a school staff member and deputy.

On Monday afternoon, the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office says a fight broke out between two students during dismissal at Snow Hill High School. After the fight was broken up, police say one of the students became disorderly.

It was at that point, police say, a school resource office was called for back-up. When the deputy arrived, police say the student was actively assaulting a school administrator. The deputy was also assaulted as they tried to intervene, say police.

The incident has been forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Services for review. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
