Emerging Leaders: Debbie Reynolds

47ABC – It is Monday so it’s time to introduce you to a new emerging leader!

Debbie Reynolds is a 7th grade world history teacher at Wicomico Middle School, but she is also the county’s teacher of the year!

This morning, Reynolds visited Good Morning Delmarva to discuss the achievement and what it feels like to have her hard work acknowledged!

She says she likes to be authentic and honest with her students, so she develops a great relationship with them.

This way they can do their best to achieve their academic goals.

Reynolds tells us she really enjoys the 7th grade because her students can be pretty silly, but its fits well with her own personality!

She focuses on making sure all student needs are being met so she switches up her lessons quite often and uses a variety of teaching methods.
