Baltimore Ravens sign North Caroline Graduate Ja’Mion Franklin
RIDGLEY, Md.- The Baltimore Ravens signed Duke University and North Caroline Graduate Ja‘Mion Franklin as an undrafted free agent.
In three seasons with Duke he had 73 career tackles. He had a career-high 31 tackles and a sack in 2023, 26 tackles and three sacks in 2022 and 16 tackles in 2021 for the Blue Devils.
He was a captain on the 2023 Blue Devils football team.
WMDT Sports talked with Ja’Mion before the NFL draft about what it would mean to him to be drafted.
“Its a huge man its obviously something from a small town like Ridgley that you always dream of and reflecting on it since this entire process it really hit me like here it is, the moment that you talk about as a kid when you’re playing Friday night lights in the Ridge. You’re playing Pop Warner growing up with your buddies messing around and tossing the ball and tackling people with it. You know this is the opportunity that you work for, you really invest everything to getting to. Its really surreal to finally be at this moment,” he said.
