Orioles call Kjerstad up to the Majors
ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Orioles have decided they have seen enough, as they have called slugging outfielder Heston Kjerstad up to the Major Leagues.
Kjerstad had been lighting it up for Triple-A Norfolk, batting .349 with 10 home runs.
He was the second overall pick in the 2020 draft, and batted .463 in his short time with the Shorebirds in 2022.
Kjerstad now joins a lineup loaded with young talent, most of whom made stops right here on Delmarva. Those young stars include Jackson Holliday, Colton Cowser, Gujnnar Henderson, Jordan Westburg, Adley Rustchman among others.
The Orioles are 15-7, and lead the American League East by a half game.
