Bridgeville man arrested in connection to a burglary
GEORGETOWN, Del.,- A Bridgeville man is facing charges after a burglary investigation.
On March 1st shortly before 7:30 p.m., troopers were called to a residence on Widgeon Road in Georgetown for a burglary report.
When officers arrived they discovered that an unknown suspect entered the home through a bedroom window knocking over items and stealing money before fleeing.
Troopers were able to recover fingerprints from the scene and through investigation, the suspect was identified as 24-year-old Lester Alcantara.
Officers were able to obtain a search warrant on March 29th.
On that same day, Alcantara was taken into custody by Seaford Police where he was later turned over to Troop 4.
While in custody at Troop 4 officers found 31 oxycodone pills hidden in Alcantara’s beltline.
Alcantara was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution and is facing multiple felony charges
