Suspect arrested in connection to June 2023 bar shooting in Millsboro
MILLSBORO, Del. – A Dover man has been arrested in connection to a shooting outside of a Millsboro bar last summer.
Just after 11 p.m. on June 2, 2023, troopers were called to Paradise Grill for a report of shots fired. It was learned that several men had been fighting with another man inside the bar. The bouncers reportedly escorted several of the men outside, but they went back inside and tried to fight the other man again. The other man then left with two women, and as they drove out of the parking lot, the group of men allegedly began running after their car. Gunshots were fired, but the car continued driving away, and everyone involved left the area.
No injuries were reported, and no suspects were identified initially. It was discovered that the car that was driving away was hit by gunfire.,
Further investigation led police to identify 19-year-old Ja’shawn Moore as one of the suspects involved in the shooting. He was arrested earlier this week and charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, three counts of first degree reckless endangerment, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, second degree conspiracy, and criminal mischief. He was held at SCI on an $87,000 cash bond.
Police are continuing to investigate this incident.
