Construction begins on new Bayhealth-Nemours Sussex building

MILFORD, Del. – Construction is underway for a new building that will help provide more medical services in Sussex County.

The community on Wednesday gathered for the topping out ceremony on the new Nemours Sussex Medical Office Building, which will be housed at the Bayhealth Sussex Campus.

According to the Bayhealth CEO and President Terry Murphy, the new building provide all sorts of services like specialty care, diagnostic services, primary pediatric care and senior care services.

“Primarily for people with children with specialty care needs traveling can be a barrier to access so we just think this significantly improves access for the communities in Sussex County,” said Murphy.

If everything goes as planned Bayhealth expects the new building to be up and running by next year.
