One killed, two injured in Queen Anne’s Co. crash
QUEENSTOWN, Md. – A two-vehicle crash claimed the life of one and injured two others Thursday afternoon.
Police say the crash took place in the area of Route 50 and Pippin Farm Lane. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Dodge Caravan being driven by 24-year-old Kathleen Strawbridge, was traveling west on Route 50. At the same time, an Acura TSX, being driven by 88-year-old William Minahan, was trying to turn onto Route 50 from a parking lot when he reportedly failed to yield the right of way, subsequently hitting the Dodge.
Minahan was killed in the crash. Strawbridge and her 2-year-old child were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Route 50 was closed for over three hours for the investigation.
