Small Biz Saturday: “Just start the business”

SALISBURY, Md. – Deals, deals, and more deals are what many people are looking forward to now until the Christmas holiday.

Saturday marks Small Business Saturday. Local businesses came to the downtown Salisbury Plaza to share their products and connect with customers. 47ABC spoke with one business owner on the plaza. Tyneshia Heath with Afroganics Hair and Skincare whose selling body butters and body scrubs that are natural and shea butter-based.

She says small business events like these really help her small business get more exposure which is necessary at a time like this. “Harder now to get sales. It’s easier to put yourself out there because of social media, but with the rising costs to actually make the products and to put yourself out there, it’s definitely harder because everybody’s tight, it’s kind of hard especially around Christmas time to draw in more business,” Heath explained.

Tyneshia Heath says if you’re looking to start your own business, she recommends just doing it – just start the business.
