Police arrest man after massive drug bust in Ellendale

Police say that an Ellendale man has been arrested following a two month drug investigation.
According to Delaware State Police, 30-year-old Jesus G. Serrano Torres was taken into custody around 9 PM on Tuesday after he was contacted during a traffic stop on North Rehoboth Boulevard in Milford.
In the course of searching Serrano Torres' Ford Escape, police say a .45 caliber handgun, a 9mm handgun, and 7.8 grams of cocaine were found.
Police say search warrants were then conducted at his home and another home on North Old State Road where he is known to frequent.
Upon conducting the searches, detectives found an AK-47 assault rifle, a sawed-off shotgun, a loaded 9mm handgun, 9,266 bags of heroin (139 grams,) 194.6 grams of cocaine, 1,898 grams of marijuana and over $8,239 in suspected drug proceeds.

Torres was transported back to Troop 3 where he was charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon with a removed, obliterated, or altered serial number, possessing a destructive weapon, and five counts of possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited.
Serrano Torres was arraigned at JP7 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $181,000 cash bond.
