UPDATE: Gumboro crash claims life of one

GUMBORO, Del. – The Delaware State Police are investigating an early morning crash in Gumboro that claimed the life of one.

At around 1:20 a.m., police say a white 2022 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound on Careys Camp Road, just north of Little Hill Road, approaching a sharp curve in the road. The driver reportedly failed to negotiate the curve and veered off the roadway, traveling through a wet grassy area before hitting two trees.

The driver, a 20-year-old Georgetown man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld pending notification of family and relatives.
