Two men arrested on drug charges following traffic stop
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police arrested two men on several drug charges following a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon.
A traffic stop was initiated at around 4:15 p.m., after officers observed a man who did not have a valid license driving in the area of Stevenson Drive and White Oak Road with two small children who were not properly restrained.
Officers conducted a search after smelling marijuana coming from within the vehicle during the stop. The driver, 26-year-old Randall Harris was found in possession of 13.9 grams of crack cocaine, while the passenger, 34-year-old Terrance Smith, was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana and 30 ecstasy pills.
Harris was charged with possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, drug paraphernalia, and traffic offenses.
Smith was charged with possession with intent to deliver ecstasy, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Both were released on their own recognizance.
