Colonel grinds out win over CSD
FEDERALSBURG, Md. – Colonel Richardson took advantage of some Cambridge miscues en route to a 5-3 victory over the Vikings.
Colonels pitcher Jennifer Larrimore was strong in the circle for most of the game racking up key strikeouts leading up to the sixth. Offensively, CR scored on a wild pitch and an RBI groundout to take the early 2-0 lead. Vikings started Maddie Pleasants got off to a rough start but started to settle in toward the later stages of the game.
CR had another strong inning and plated three more runs in the fifth inning to seize control of the ballgame. CSD had their best look at sinking Larrimore with the bases loaded and one out in the sixth inning. The Vikings tacked on three runs but couldn’t muster any more offense against Larrimore.
