8th round of EDGE grant competition opens Friday, supports DE small businesses

DELAWARE- The Delaware Division of Small Business has announced that the latest round of EDGE grant funding will open September 1st.

EDGE stands for Encouraging Development, Growth, and Expansion. Small businesses less than seven years old and with no more than 10 employees are eligible to apply for up to $50,000.

Now headed into the eight round, division personnel told us the funding has played an essential role in the growth and development of several small businesses. “They’ve been able to expand by getting a vehicle that they needed or hiring other journeymen that go out for their company. One local beer garden is getting more equipment like stoves, outdoor seating areas, and refrigeration,” Delaware Division of Small Business’ Anastasia Jackson said.

The deadline to apply will be Friday, September 29th by 4 p.m.
